Traditional?

Traditionalism and diversity

From the first hand traditionalism and diverse doesn`t quite fit together, as diverse understood like something non traditional, rather situating in the edge of something litterally. Traditionalism as a context here and art means something that was and has been; there is some tradition to follow. Anyways everyone, who knows art history even a little knows, that the breakdown of traditional art happened at least with the rise of modernism in the first decades of 1900 (roots being alreay 1800 with impressionism rising).

So, when i now see myself representing at the same time traditionalism and diverse, we must little deepdive. First, we must understand, that modernism and so called contemporary art (concluding postmodernism) has been influencing strongly to public`s art conseptions already over 100 years.

That is why proclaiming myself as traditionalist is quite a various attitude these days of post modern. The official artworld hasn`t quite looked with an interest those who still are hanging on the tradition; that is the inheritance of forexample realism, romanticism, symbolism or even impressionism. For me, being all my life somehow "diverse", following these inheritances has been a never ending journey of techniques, rhythm, harmony and paradigm of the canvas...

Landscapes

Landscapes has stayed from the beginning in my production, only recently they also have come to represent symbolic views, not purely as landscapes.

Abstractions

Abstractions or half abstractions i do seldom, but time to time after spending time with physical world, i have a need to "escape" to pure forms withouth content - even Wassily Kandinsky`s ideas of forms as representative nature are not too far from my own thinking.

Portraits

I like to paint characters, becouse i may reflect my own inner development within - that`s why they are not mainly depicting any certain person, even sometimes i use my own caharcteristics in them.

Drawings

Symbolism

Symbolism as a virtue of 1800th centary`s end is maybe the most influential art movement in my production. Somehow almost all my paintings can be seen symbolic way, that is up to the chosen point of view...
